The Water Faerie

This lovely Faerie image is from my original art quilt "The Water Faerie". She dances joyfully through a landscape of watery blue, periwinkle, and purple... She is indeed Queen of all things of water...

I was sketching one afternoon, idly flipping thru some books I have of faeries, and thinking of a friend of mine who is a dancer (and a lover of faeries...) when this delightful faerie was born. Several weeks later I began to create her from fabric. Somehow it seemed right that she should be dancing in the ocean... and so became the Water Faerie.

She is sister to the Ice Faerie...
