The Magenta Faerie

This piece was among the very first I created in 2002 when I first started taking the Art Quilt techniques I had been exploring to a new level.

Sisters of this faerie have appeared in three other of my art quilts so far (you can see the Green Faerie and the Galaxy Faerie in the Gallery).

This lovely lass hovered around in my studio for almost a year until I finally placed a border around her. I call her the "Magenta Faerie" because of her flaming wild magenta hair.
