The Cosmic Lion

When my brother & I were little, we had a cool Show'n'Tell record player and a stack of our dad's old 45's. I think we learned the words to all the groovy songs from the early sixties. "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" was among our favorites - "A-winga-wah, A-winga-wah!" Of course, guess what was zinging through my head while working on this one?

Like the Ent, this one was also a lot of fun to work on as I watched the expression grow on his face.

This quilt proudly will hang in my nephew Colby's room! YAY!!

I am hoping to create a few more pieces that are similar...
